The Graduate Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology was created on 12/17/1973, and the general objective is to train human resources qualified for research and teaching to work in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and other institutions, public or private, research-oriented. As another product and consequence of postgraduate activities, there is the production of quality knowledge with an impact on the health care of people and the population. The production of knowledge focused on clinical applicability, including in translational projects, is characteristic of the postgraduate program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Our main objective is to form qualified human resources for research and teaching to work in Higher Education Institutions and in other institutions dedicated to teaching and research. It is also intended for the production of quality knowledge that can have an impact on the health care of the population, through public health policies. It is still our characteristic the production of knowledge with clinical applicability, based on translational projects.
