The Interunit Graduate Program in Museology at the University of São Paulo (PPGMus-USP) was created by the initiative of and articulation between the then four Directors of USP's statutory museums, with the leadership of Prof. Dr. José Luiz de Morais, Prof. Dr. Cecília Helena Salles Oliveira, Prof. Dr. Domingos Tadeu Chiarelli and Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. Hussam El Dine Zaher. Opened in 2012, it brings together professors from four USP museums – Museum of Archeology and Ethnology – MAE, Museum of Contemporary Art – MAC, Museu Paulista – MP and Museum of Zoology – MZ. It is this gathering of institutions, with their specific characteristics and potential, and teams of researchers in the field of Museology that gives body and shape to PPGMus-USP. In this way, the master's course is structured in a plural and expanded view of Museology.
