The Graduate Program in Management and Innovation in the Animal Industry, at FZEA/USP aims to train professional researchers and professors of a different level to develop scientific and technological activities of excellence in the area of ​​management and innovation throughout the extensive business chain in which the animal industry is inserted, helping to qualify human capital for the sustainable growth of Brazilian agriculture and agribusiness. The vast majority of the first students in the first four years of the Program have an employment relationship with public and private organizations, and work professionally in the target segment.

The Program is divided into two main lines of scientific/technological activity: (i) Management in the Animal Industry, and; (ii) Innovation in the Animal Industry. Consistent with these lines of scientific/technological activity, more than twenty (20) research projects, with comprehensive characteristics, are in progress by the Program's Professors, which are, for the most part, financed by development agencies such as BNDES, CNPq , FAPESP and Transversal Actions with FINEP, MCT&I and CT-AGRO, in addition to financing by private companies and sector representations linked to Brazilian agribusiness. These actions have allowed Program Advisors to: (a) improve research-related infrastructure; and, (b) improve the number of publications in quality journals.
