The Graduate Program in Food Science and Technology (PPG-CTA) is headquartered in the Department of Agroindustry, Food and Nutrition and began in 1977 with the Master's course and in 2011 with the Doctorate.
The PPG-CTA is structured in such a way as to enable the training of Masters and Doctors to act prominently throughout the food production chain. It comprises the structuring of lines of research (LP), thematic research projects (P), and specific and general disciplines, enabling broad scientific training.
The program presents good national and international insertion, with a quality scientific production. The faculty is made up of training specialists in the area served by the program, who have postdoctoral degrees in different universities and renowned institutions abroad. PPG-CTA professors are also editors and/or reviewers of prominent journals in the area with international circulation.
