The Librarianship course aims to train professionals to work in the production, organization, recovery and treatment of information in public or private organizations, such as libraries, museums, cultural centers and archives, dealing with collections in physical or virtual locations.

The librarian's professional work is based on preserving memory, disseminating information and producing new knowledge, ensuring that this information effectively reaches its target audiences. In this way, the course seeks, above all, to train librarians who act as mediators between the information of these centers and their audiences, accompanying sociocultural demands in this market that lives in constant transformation.

One of the pillars of the graduation is its search for constant updating, based on the increasingly technological, virtual and interactive nature of contemporary society, which has appropriated the means of communication and is no longer just a consumer of information, but has also become a your producer.
