The Interunit Graduate Program in Aesthetics and Art History is characterized by placing a transdisciplinary reflection, with historical, sociological and anthropological approaches, among others, capable of deepening the understanding of current artistic processes.

To achieve its purpose, the Program's four lines of research focus on the knowledge of art, focusing its research on artistic language, the work of art and its circulation in society. With the Program's proposals, the aim is to respond to the current questions present in the horizons of knowledge of contemporary art.

The program aims to offer an in-depth reflection on art, from a theoretical point of view, covering aesthetic, historical, political-economic and critical aspects; to foster relations between research and artistic production with society; and establish interactions with other areas of knowledge.
