The Graduate Program in Civil Engineering - PPGEC - aims to train Masters and Doctors capable of detecting the relevant needs of Brazilian society and propose innovative solutions and methods in the areas of Civil and Urban Construction Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering and Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering. The Program aims to train leading researchers to work both in academic teaching and research activities and in applied research in the industrial and market sectors.
The postgraduate course at the Doctorate level aims to fully master and carry out technical-scientific work with creativity and an innovative spirit in a specific area of knowledge. Under supervision of the advisor, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to expand the frontiers of knowledge, develop research activities and autonomously systematize the acquired knowledge.
