The Professional Master's Program in Languages ​​in National Network (Profletras) is a stricto sensu postgraduate course that has the participation of Brazilian public higher education institutions and is coordinated by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).

Profletras – USP began in 2013 and is one of the programs of the Department of Classical and Vernacular Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences.

The target audience consists of teachers with a degree in Literature who are working in the classroom, teaching Portuguese in public elementary schools.

The main objective of the program is to improve Portuguese language teaching at the fundamental level II, with a view to making students proficient in reading and writing skills. To this end, it qualifies teachers to deepen their linguistic knowledge, reflecting on different uses of language, and producing didactic materials that can develop multiple communicative skills in students.
