The Professional Master's Program in Imaging Sciences and Medical Physics (MP CIFM) at FMRP USP was created in 2013, with the first group starting in 2014, and is now in its second CAPES quadrennial evaluation. It has 2 (two) Areas of Concentration: Diagnostic Imaging and Medical Physics and 6 (six) Lines of Research: Neuroimaging, Interventional Radiology, Radiotherapy and Medical Physics, Musculoskeletal System, Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Imaging (the latter added in 2018 ). The Lines of Research are comprehensive enough for the development of projects aimed at various topics of interest and impact for the Areas. In the period 2017-2020, the Program was completed by 39 (thirty-nine) students, with dissertations approved and made available on the USP Theses Portal (https://www.teses.usp.br/),

The main objective of the program is the development of qualified human resources, with capacity for innovation, critical thinking, understanding and application of the scientific method, as well as leadership in the areas of concentration in Diagnostic Imaging and Medical Physics. This objective is clearly perceived in the assessment of graduates (presented in another section of this report), who have occupied positions in SUS and complementary health services, with transformative and impactful actions.
