The Physical Engineering forms an engineer with a generalist profile, with a solid scientific and technological base in the disciplines of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, prepared to apply this basic knowledge in the innovation and resolution of technological problems in several areas, such as Alternative Energies, Nanotechnology, Quantum Electronics, Optics and Photonics, Transport, Microfabrication and development of new materials and devices. The training simultaneously emphasizes the views of scientist and engineer that will underlie your professional performance.

The EEL Physics Engineering course takes place, to a large extent, in Area II of the Unit in the Department of Materials Engineering (DEMAR) facilities. This infrastructure, including the pilot plants, in addition to the laboratories of the DEMAR Graduate Program, contributes to the great differential of the Physics Engineering course at EEL.
