PhD in Meteorology

The graduate program in Meteorology at the University of São Paulo seeks to train researchers and professionals with solid knowledge in the area of ​​atmospheric sciences, including here, in addition to traditional areas, “climate changes”, “atmosphere-biosphere interaction”, “ atmosphere-ocean interaction” and “atmospheric pollution and its effects on man and the environment”.

Solid training in these areas allows the student to have a versatile and autonomous role to face the challenges that the academic or professional activity will present. In the past, most of those interested in the Program were graduates of undergraduate courses in Meteorology, Physics and Mathematics, but nowadays, in addition to these, the research areas developed in the Program have attracted geographers, biologists, chemists, engineers, among others. others.
