The general goals of the Graduate Program in Gynecology and Obstetrics are the production of qualified and internationally acknowledged scientific research in the area of women’s health combined with the training of highly qualified researchers/professors. We aim to offer a graduate program of national and international excellence for graduate students, faculty, graduates, and the community.

In the training of researchers/professors, specific goals are qualifying our graduates to present critical scientific knowledge and ability to form Research Centers; competence to work in Higher Education institutions; ability to work as professors in the various aspects of academic knowledge; and ability to apply knowledge in the sectors of the unified health system.

In the production of scientific knowledge, the specific goals are related to projects. We expect that they produce knowledge for practical application in the medical area, in the promotion and prevention of health to benefit society; have quality so that their results can be validated nationally and internationally; be original, stimulating the interest of partners nationally and internationally; stimulate the development of multicenter studies.
