The Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences course opens up perspectives for a broad knowledge of human and animal biology, pathological processes and diagnostic and therapeutic approaches that have an impact on translational medicine. Its main objective is to prepare students for the development of high-level scientific research projects.

The philosophy of the course is innovative due to its character of conceptual integration, with the formation of the student in multidisciplinary projects of frontier scientific research, establishing relationships between science, technology and society, and serving the job market with an ethical and humanistic vision. In addition, the curriculum allows for some flexibility, allowing students to choose their own training path.

Most disciplines are taught by ICB-USP, but other Units, such as the Institute of Chemistry and the Institute of Biosciences, also participate in the course.

Due to its strong vocation for research, ICB-USP encourages and supports its students in international experiences, which occur so that they can develop and/or present their scientific work.
