The proposed program has as its main objective the continuing education at stricto sensu Post-Graduate level of professionals in Chemists, Biochemists, Biologists, Pharmacists and other related areas, active in the labor market, for the training of qualified human resources for the exercise of advanced and transformative professional practice, aiming to meet the professional demands of the labor market for the socio-economic and scientific-technological development of the country.

The Greater São Paulo region has an industrial park of great national relevance. The geographic proximity and the need to improve the level of professionals in these areas make up a favorable scenario for the involvement of the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo (IQ-USP) in a modern work front of cooperation between academia and industry. The Professional Master's is a way for this work to be carried out in a grounded and judicious way.

IQ-USP houses graduate programs in Chemistry and Biochemistry, offering academic master's and doctoral degrees. Over the 40 years of existence, these programs have trained more than 2,500 masters and doctors, most of whom can be found as professors in public and private universities. The proposal of the Professional Master's Degree "Technology in Chemistry and Biochemistry" aims to expand the role of IQ-USP in the improvement of higher-level personnel working in the productive sector.
