The environmental engineer trained by Poli is prepared to adopt a set of technical and managerial measures, which aim to ensure that the implementation, operation or decommissioning of an enterprise is carried out in accordance with environmental legislation.

The demand for an environmental engineer is high, mainly because of the legal requirements for protecting the environment. In the private sector, graduates can work in planning and environmental management departments of large industries, in environmental consulting and auditing companies, among others.

The Polytechnic School, committed to the sustainable development of the country and the planet, with the practice of citizenship and with ethical, social, economic and environmental responsibility, has as its mission to train professionals in Engineering with scientific and technical excellence, who can become innovative leaders and entrepreneurs, carry out research, disseminate and preserve knowledge, and provide services of high relevance and impact to society, nationally and internationally.
