The Graduate Program in Drugs and Medicines at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (FCF-USP) was created in 1978, being accredited on 01.01.85, by the Federal Council of Education, initially at the master's level.
The doctoral course was designed in 1986 and began operating in 1987. It was the second Program installed in the country in the area of Pharmaceuticals and Medicines, and is characterized by the high level of nucleation, the relationship with the productive sector and the expressive return to society. By the year 2013, it had trained 303 masters and 178 doctors.
The program aims at training highly qualified human resources to carry out academic activities that include a teaching and research career, and professional activities in the area of medicines and cosmetics.
