The Bachelor of Chemistry course is full-time and lasts 4 years. Newcomers can graduate in the modalities Bachelor of Chemistry, Bachelor of Chemistry with qualification in Forensic Chemistry and Bachelor of Chemistry with qualification in Technological Chemistry, Biotechnology and Agroindustry. The three modalities have a minimum core of disciplines that is subdivided into a basic core and mandatory complementary disciplines. This minimum covers the contents considered essential for the formation of a Chemist, with theoretical and experimental subjects in General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. The differentiation between the three modalities will be made in the 4th semester, having a specific core, divided over the two and a half years later of the Course.

The Bachelor of Forensic Chemistry must carry out an internship in Research Laboratories or in the investigation sectors of governmental or private bodies. A discipline is also planned that addresses the preparation of reports and reports, as it is practically useless to master cutting-edge techniques for specific analyzes if one does not have sufficient knowledge to document the results in the technical form required by law. Therefore, in addition to this new chemistry professional leaving the University with good experience for the job market, he will also have the necessary requirements to pursue a research career.

The selection is made through the Fuvest entrance exam or through the Unified Selection System (Sisu). For those who already attend higher education, it is also possible to request a transfer.
