The Architecture and Urbanism Course, created in 1985, today offers 45 full-time vacancies over five years. With an innovative proposal, CAU was designed to train professionals capable of contributing to the social and economic development of the country, acting as designers, planners, managers and builders of buildings and cities.

Understanding graduation as a moment of knowledge production, the course promotes reflection on the place of the architect and urban planner in a period of intense social, cultural, technological and economic transformation. The aim is to enable students to learn continuously and to act consciously in the face of socio-economic and cultural phenomena brought about by modernity and its contemporary transformations.
