The Production Engineering course aims to train World Class Engineers, who are able to lead management or technical processes in the best companies in the world, as well as undertake in startups that may be created. It operates in the design, modeling, implementation, operation, maintenance and improvement of integrated production systems of goods and services, involving men, financial and material resources, technology, information and energy. It is also responsible for specifying, predicting and evaluating the results obtained from these systems for society and the environment, using specialized knowledge in mathematics, physics, human and social sciences, together with the principles and methods of analysis and engineering design. These activities, treated in depth and in an integrated manner, are fundamental for raising the quality of life and competitiveness in the country.

The professional can work in various organizations such as the automotive, chemical, electrical and other industries, as well as in the production systems of service companies and the third sector. Main activities: implementation and development of quality assurance systems; organization and planning of the production flow, optimization and rationalization of productive processes; project and innovation management; design of new factories or new production processes.
